Agency Background, Organization and Management Our offices are conveniently located on Mountain Avenue in Springfield, New
Jersey. This office houses a staff of thirty-seven professionals. The agency has
been serving our clientele throughout northern and central New Jersey
since 1950.KRA is owned by seven directors, all seasoned insurance
professionals. The agency has two separate strategic business units
sharing common ownership and management:
KRA INSURANCE AGENCY, INC.
Our property-casualty unit, has three divisions:
- Personal Insurance – Provides protection to individuals and their
families from personal risk exposures (homes, automobiles, pleasure
boats, valuable articles.)
- Commercial Insurance – Business risk exposures (commercial and
office property, liability, workers compensation, and malpractice.)
- Bonding
KRA LIFE AGENCY, INC.
Our life/health/disability and financial services unit counsels individual
and business customers needing specialized expert handling of estate
planning, income continuation, managed care programs, retirement planning,
and financial planning.
Michael Rekoon is our President and Managing Director. Marsha Sheriff is Vice President for Property Casualty operations. Howard M. Honigfeld,
Rhys A.
Ord, Steven H. Samansky and Adam Wax are Vice Presidents. Noreen Goodman is our Secretary/Treasurer and Office Manager. A professional sales and customer service
staff assists this ownership team with over thirty licensed individuals.
In addition to managing the growth of KRA, several officers also serve the
community as members or board members of various civic and charitable
organizations in our area, including St. Barnabas Hospital in Livingston.
The agency serves a diverse mix of customer types, specializing in medical, dental, legal, and accounting professionals, real estate owners
and small to medium commercial and industrial accounts.
